The 2020 NCMS Technology Showcase at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard is a rare opportunity to introduce innovative technology to key decision makers and end users. This two-day event, held on base, offers showcase participants a unique venue where program managers, engineers, and other production and base leadership will converge in one place, creating the ideal networking environment. NCMS Technology Showcases have been featured at DOD maintenance facilities across the U.S. and Japan and are open to government personnel as well as industry exhibitors and representatives.

Exhibitor Information

  • The Technology Showcase will be located in a building that is open to the shipyard public throughout the day and overnight. Please plan to take your valuables with you each evening or bring a locking storage container. If this is something you’d be interested in requesting through the shipyard, please contact eventsupport@ncms.org.
  • The Norfolk Naval Shipyard and NCMS shall under no circumstances be liable for any lost, stolen or damaged items.
  • There is no direct shipping option. All demonstration and display materials must be carried on site. We recommend shipping directly to your hotel. Please call your hotel to inquire about any shipping and handling fees.
  • Bring two forms of I.D. with you to the event location. We recommend your driver’s license and passport.
  • Online Directory: As a part of exhibitor registration, you are required to submit company and technical abstracts. To make a lasting impact, be sure to complete this package by submitting your logo and quad chart to eventsupport@ncms.org to by MAY 22.
  • Due to the highly sensitive area where the Technology Showcase will be held, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WITH A CAMERA WILL BE ALLOWED! This means, no cell phones, laptops, tablets, smart watches, etc. Please take note and plan your table top display accordingly.  
  • This will be a great opportunity for the end users to get hands-on experience with your technology. To provide the most impact,  actual demonstrations of capabilities when applicable are highly encouraged.

Each guest, including Military ID and CAC holders, will be required to submit TWO FORMS to request base access. Once registered, fill out the provided DD 5512 AND NNSY CVS Contractors Form, SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER IS MANDATORY. Once completed, the form should be emailed to cnic_cnrma_cvs@navy.mil. The deadline for submitting security information for this event is MAY 8. It is always best practice to submit an alternate representative’s security information in case the registered representative cannot attend.

  • SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER IS REQUIRED.
  • If there is any missing guest information, your form will not be processed.
  • Initials and signature fields must be wet signatures (hand signed using black ink, not signed electronically).
  • Signatures on mobile phones, tablets, or paint are not accepted. Best practice is to print out the form, physically sign it, scan it and send in PDF format.
  • Forms must be in BLACK INK/TEXT ONLY.
  • Forms must fully fit letter sized paper. Forms that do not fill a standard sized 8 ½” x 11” page will be rejected by Pass and ID.
  • Ensure that all check boxes are signed, including the “US Citizenship” box.
