Project Announcement: Machine Learning Optimized Power Electronics – Phase II
The US Department of Defense is partnering with industry and academia on an initiative to solve an important challenge for both commercial and military teams by developing an AI-driven Model Based Systems Engineering approach that will solve challenges associated with lengthy design times and supply chain constraints, dramatically reducing time to design and commercialize power electronics products while creating highly differentiated new products.
In this phase, the specific areas of focus are to establish and demonstrate:
- Foundational models
- Baseline power electronics component
- Benchmark design of baseline component
- Next generation design of inverter with increased functionality
- Hardware validation
