Project Announcement: Joint Enterprise Data Interoperability Enabling a Predictive, Operational Support Tool (JEDI-POST)

The US Department of Defense is partnering with industry and academia on an initiative to demonstrate key technologies and validate assumptions in the design of Joint Enterprise Data Interoperability Enabling a Predictive, Operational Support Tool (JEDI-POST), and further understanding of mature and stretch technologies for risk reduction and detailed requirements development for the future state of the capability.  Additionally, this project will demonstrate rapid capability enablement through integration of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions.

The goal of this initiative is to address the multifaceted issues affecting the availability and quality of sustainment data through the marriage of the Logistics Functional Area Services (LOGFAS) suite of applications in conjunction with Joint Enterprise Data Interoperability for both interoperability (JEDI-X) and decision support (JEDI Multinational Logistics Common Operating Picture – MNLOGCOP). The vision for the future state includes not only integration of existing data sources, but also existing or emerging analytical tools that can leverage the wealth of data to predict, propose and assess the effectiveness of sustainment COAs, through use of heuristic and machine learning algorithms.
