Project Announcement: Integration of Repair Data – Phase II

The US Department of Defense is partnering with industry and academia on a multiphase CTMA initiative to enhance and expand demonstration of an integrated set of data, tools and processes that provide a common operating picture of all resource requirements across an aircraft maintenance organization to help improve overall aircraft readiness.

This effort will utilize a particular platform’s operational readiness issues as a surrogate to demonstrate better efficiencies that bring together integrated data across the logistics, engineering, and information technology communities of practice to enable more reliable, more predictable, and more accurate decision-making. The project team will leverage technology and advanced processes developed on previous efforts to further enhance decision-making for leaders and planners.

Phase II will build on the Phase I insights and discoveries to extend the capabilities and improve the efficiency of data collection, visibility, and transfer. A primary focus of this phase will be on integrating platform data sources with external data sources, such as weather and location information. This integrated data environment will allow for rapid reporting, metrics gathering, and predictive analysis. Using industry standard reporting technologies, such as Tableau and Power BI, Phase II will prototype reporting that will allow decision makers to quickly identify and respond to trends.
