Project Announcement: Improved Robustness of Crash Avoidance System Sensors to Reduce Maintenance and Repair Costs – Phase III

The US Department of Defense is partnering with industry and academia on a multiphase CTMA initiative to provide a significantly improved and robust integrated solution for a crash avoidance system (CAS) on vehicle fleets, to ultimately reduce maintenance and sustainment of these systems and encourage wider adoption. Phase III will pilot an upgraded enhanced driver’s vision system (DVE) with a new DVE-wide with full color high resolution video, ultra-wide field of view, high resolution, and real time image processing.
