Project Announcement: Electronic Component Risk Mitigation for Vehicle Programs – Phase VI

The US Department of Defense is partnering with industry and academia on a multiphase CTMA initiative to implement a design solution for components of the Bradley Family of Vehicles (BFoV). The overall goal is to develop a Bradley Processing Unit (BPU) design (a common BFoV fire control system) using technology that is obsolescence resistant while providing smart growth for anticipated functionality.

Phase VI will focus on the manufacturing demonstration output and confirm the manufacturing, quality, and supply chain processes.  It will include a first article test of manufactured representative systems samples, updates to the manufacturing process and technical data, and identification, mitigation, and monitoring of quality defects and non-conforming parts.
