Project Announcement: Crane Alternatives to Improve Maintenance Capacity, Efficiency and Safety – Phase II

The U.S. Navy is partnering with industry and academia to perform research, identification, evaluation, and assessment of potential new technologies in lifting and handling. These testing protocols will be deployed within the confines of a dry dock or covered dry dock environment. This initiative will also include the identification and assessment of both industry best practices to improve crane safety and ensure continuous reliability that will reduce unplanned downtime and costs while improving fleet readiness.
