Project Announcement: Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to Improve Supply Chain Management – Phase IV

The US Department of Defense is partnering with industry and academia on a multiphase CTMA initiative to develop the strategy and verify/validate prototype software for a maintenance organization’s use of artificial intelligence/machine learning with advanced mathematical algorithms in supply chain management to increase parts availability and reduce customer wait time.

Phase IV will conduct in-depth analysis of the previous phases’ technology demonstrations and utilize data documentation, data cleaning, and data merging to realize efficiencies of delivered algorithms.

Specific objectives include:

  • Increase gross issue effectiveness
  • Decrease customer wait time
  • Increase full mission capable availability rates
  • Optimize supply chain endpoints
