A Technology, Strategy and Integration Approach to Lifecycle Management and Modernization – Phase II

The U.S. Air Force is partnering with industry and academia on a multi-phase initiative to analyze the lifecycle management of the F-35. Phase II of this initiative will implement software solutions to optimize methodologies well into the future. This includes enabling technologies, subsystems and components, spares, repair parts, peculiar and common support equipment, weapon system and maintenance trainers, flight simulators and all supporting technical documentation for maintenance activities. The focus for this effort is the logistics and sustainment lifecycle management consisting of studies and analysis, production, modification, and assessment of new technologies that will enable continued delivery and affordable operational sustainment of the F-35 for the U.S. and its Allies.
