EVENT DETAILS

NCMS is pleased to announce its first Technology Showcase with the Air Force, which will be held at Tinker Air Force Base (AFB) in Oklahoma City, OK July 17-18, 2023. This two-day event, to be held on base, will provide an especially valuable opportunity for industry demonstrators to exhibit how their technologies serve Tinker AFB’s mission: providing sustainment and logistics readiness to deliver combat power for America. As a leader in industrial base modernization, Tinker serves as the headquarters of the Air Force Materiel Command’s (AFMC) Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center (OC-ALC), which performs maintenance on multiple aircraft (KC-46, KC-135, B-1B, B-52, E-3, Navy E-6, F-100, F-101, F-108, F-110, F-117, F-118, F-119, F-135), TF33 engines, and a wide variety of commodities for the Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, and foreign military. In addition, the complex is responsible for the development and sustainment of a diverse portfolio of mission-critical software. With more than 35,000 military and civilian employees, Tinker is the largest single-site employer in Oklahoma.

Key decision-makers are eager to assess new products and services showcased at this event. Additionally, base personnel look forward to viewing new technologies and providing industry with firsthand experience of their pain points and areas that need improvement. This event will provide industry participants with a unique venue where program managers, engineers, and other production and base leadership will converge in one place, creating the ideal networking environment. NCMS Technology Showcases have been featured at DOD maintenance facilities across the US and are open to government personnel as well as industry exhibitors and representatives.

How to get the most out of your participation at an NCMS Technology Showcase

Each exhibitor’s space will be visited by individuals representing Government, Industry, and Academia. Please have a prepared “elevator” description of your technology and how it will benefit maintenance and sustainment efforts. This prepared speech should engage your audience quickly. Be prepared to demonstrate your technology or offer a short presentation on how your technology works. Be sure that you have deliverables that speak to the benefits of your technology, and if possible, create handouts or other marketing collateral.

Actionable Items

  • Make sure your team has an elevator speech. Be prepared to describe your technology solution/service and its benefits in 30 seconds or less.
  • Demo, demo, demo! Demonstrations draw attention at the event.
  • Bring plenty of collateral!
  • Keep your exhibit space staffed. Traffic is unpredictable and intermittent, so plan to have a representative at your table during all show hours.
  • Refrain from packing up or leaving before the event ends. An empty tabletop reflects poorly upon your company/organization.
  • Online Directory: As a part of exhibitor registration, you are required to submit company and technical abstracts. To make a lasting impact, be sure to complete this package by submitting your logo and quad chart to eventsupport@ncms.org.

BASE SECURITY

An Entry Authorization Letter (EAL) will need to be completed and submitted for Base Access. EAL, directions, and additional details will be provided following registration.

Foreign nationals will not be granted access to this particular event. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Best Practices for Submission of Exhibitor Materials

NCMS will provide attendees with a printed Exhibitor Directory that delivers a striking showcase for our exhibitors’ technology solutions. In addition, an online directory will be made available. Note that our government partners have requested that Quad Charts be submitted by all exhibitors. Those Charts will be the main place to profile your technology solutions.

To make the best possible use of the print and online space for the directory, we ask that participating exhibitors follow these instructions:

  1. Submit a 150-word description of your technology solution.
  2. Submit a 100-word description of your organization.
  3. Download the Quad Chart Template provided here, and save it as a PowerPoint file once complete. Each quadrant must be completed using Arial 12pt font face.
    1. For Problem Statement, describe what problem the technology is meant to solve (80 words maximum)
    2. For Solution Statement, describe the technology product or service (80 words maximum)
    3. For Benefits Statement, describe the expected impact of the technology (80 words maximum)
    4. For Graphics, insert photos or charts as needed. Please also submit the graphics in a high-resolution format (300 dpi) in a separate email.

Note: attempts to make the type smaller than 12 points so more than 80 words can fit in each quadrant may result in the submission being sent back. All quad charts should be emailed to eventsupport@ncms.org by 6/16/23.
