Coming Soon! 2024 Airfield Autonomy Initiative (AAI) Solicitation

November 27-November 30, 2023

In partnership with the National Aerospace Technology Research Park (NARTP), NCMS will facilitate the next round of AAI demonstrations at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JB-MDL) and Atlantic City International Airport (ACY). NCMS will issue a formal solicitation for participants, tentatively scheduled for the last week of November 2023. Watch this space for more information.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and NARTP together will be issuing resources to advance the state of autonomous vehicles operating on active commercial and DOD airfields. The AAI-Next team intends to award a 12-month Period of Performance (PoP) demonstration contract to a company/team/consortium that can demonstrate the entire AAI Minimum Viable Product (MVP), which consists of foreign object debris (FOD) removal, grass cutting, and perimeter security – all operated by a common command and control (C2) system.
