Tabor Communications Names Kirkley as Editor of the Digital Mfg Report
SAN DIEGO, CA. May 5, 2011 – Tabor Communications Inc. (TCI), a leading international media company and publisher of HPCwire and HPC in the Cloud, today announced the appointment of John Kirkley as Editor for its recently announced online web portal, Digital Manufacturing Report.
Digital Manufacturing Report is being published in partnership with the National Center for Manufacturing Sciences (NCMS), the largest cross-industry collaborative research and development consortium in North America. The new publishing effort is focused primarily on providing news, information and resources covering advanced computing technologies, enabling small to mid-size manufacturers (SMMs) to be more competitive in the global marketplace.

As a writer and editor, John Kirkley is widely recognized for his work in the computer and telecommunications industries spanning the past four decades. The former editor of Datamation magazine, John also created Computer magazine at the request of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) Computer Society, acting as both its editor and publisher. John’s most recent work was as President of Kirkley Communications, providing consulting services and marketing communications expertise to multiple high technology companies, with a focus on high performance computing (HPC). John has also been honored with the IEEE Computer Society’s Golden Core Award for his contributions to the organization.
