Project Announcement: Long-Term Sustainment of Aging Aircraft Systems

The U.S. Navy is partnering with industry and academia to develop a streamlined and effective methodology to develop a long-term sustainment strategy to extend the life of aging aircraft and critical systems to maintain the viability of the E-6B aircraft through 2060.  The objective of this effort is to demonstrate a methodology that can quickly perform an Independent Logistics Assessment on the critical systems, informing a technically feasible product support strategy that results in a Service Life Assessment Program/Service Life Extension Program. This data will provide leaders with insight to enable decision making for the long-term sustainment of the critical systems.
