The goal of the project is to increase the performance of Army watercraft coatings. These improvements include requiring less frequent maintenance, corrosion prevention and special functions like flame-retarding. This project seeks to develop or improve waterborne fire-retardant coating systems for occupied spaces, anti-fouling coatings for high speed vessels, increased durability for underwater coating systems, and coatings that can withstand running aground.
Those interested in participating in this project should contact Lisa Stobierski by November 15, 2017. We encourage participation of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs), including Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) and Women’s Business Enterprises (WBEs).
