The U.S. Army is implementing reforms to its acquisitions programs to align them with product-support best practices employed by commercial industry. To do this, it must gauge the effectiveness of its current inventory of tools, as well as understand the impact of changes on their users. The Army seeks support in assessing its current data and technical solutions environment for product support management and in studying the needs and interests of internal and external stakeholders. This initiative provides a model for cross-silo, multi-brand portfolio management applicable not only to the defense acquisitions community but also to American manufacturers.
