Many Firsts for NCMS at the Technology Showcase at the Aberdeen Proving Ground
There were a lot of firsts for NCMS at our recent Technology Showcase, September 19. It was our first time partnering with the Army Research Laboratory (ARL) at the Aberdeen Proving Ground (ARL) in Aberdeen, Maryland. It was also the first time that we highlighted our Advanced Manufacturing, Materials, and Processes (AMMP) Program in conjunction with our CTMA Program. In all 47 companies shared display space at the historic and beautiful Top of the Bay building nestled along the shores of the Chesapeake Bay. Decision-makers from both the APG and ARL stopped by to talk to the company representatives, learn more about each technology, and to take information back to their departments for consideration.
Ray Suarez from Lancs Industries was pleased with the event. “The exact people I needed to meet were here.”
Base attendees completed feedback forms after their visit to the Technology Showcase. When asked which technologies they would like to see implemented the response was, “all of them!”
