Bob Yurko “In Memoriam”

On February 7, 2020, CTMA lost a valued friend when Bob Yurko of AMATEK Spectro Scientific passed away suddenly. Bob had been part of the CTMA family for over 10 years working side-by-side with several NCMS staff members on the Expeditionary Fluid Analysis Capability (EFAC) initiative.

He will be remembered for his infectious smile that brightened any room and his ability to immediately put all around him at ease. As a frequent partner with NCMS in our booth at the annual DOD Maintenance Symposium, he was an enthusiastic participant, no matter the booth theme.

But while working on EFAC Bob was all business. He knew every detail about Spectro Scientific’s technology and capabilities. Due to Bob’s efforts, the DOD has saved millions of dollars on maintenance and sustainment with lasting impacts to the warfighter.

“Bob was a traveling warrior to the various DOD facilities across the services to demonstrate the suite of fluid analyzer capabilities. He was able to enjoy the fruits of his hard work with the full deployment with the USMC,” says Debbie Lilu, NCMS Vice President, Maintenance & Sustainment Business Development. “He will be missed.”
