New Government Partnerships Expanding our reach

NCMS works with over 110 government installations across the country, representing all Services.

One of our new partners, Program Executive Office (PEO) Submarines, is part of NAVSEA and focuses on design, construction, and delivery of advanced undersea and anti-submarine systems. It includes Special Operations Forces, delivery systems, submarine rescue systems, torpedoes, towed acoustic sensors, and unique submarine sonar, control, imaging, and electronic warfare systems.

PEO Submarines is currently partnering with NCMS on two projects:

  • MK 122 Warhead, which will investigate refurbishment and re-engineering of the legacy torpedo
  • Evaluation of the Electronics Sub-Systems (ESS) used in the Fleet Exercise Section (FES) of the MK 54 Torpedo to provide data assessment and ensure compatibility with modern standards and requirements.

Another new partner, Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) plans, builds, and maintains sustainable facilities; delivers environmental, utilities, and other base services; and acquires and manages expeditionary combat force systems and equipment.

NAVFAC is partnering with NCMS on the Naval Additive Manufacturing Knowledge Delivery System project. The system would act as an easily accessed library of certified and verified digital files that could assist with creating 3D visualizations to understand facility impacts resulting from the introduction of new platforms, systems, and sub-systems.

Naval Supply Systems Commands (NAVSUP), another new partner, provides supplies, services, and quality of life support to the Navy and joint warfighter. With headquarters in Mechanicsburg, PA, NAVSUP employs a workforce of 22,500 personnel in four organizations outside its headquarters, as well as 12 commands worldwide. NAVSUP is comprised of:

  • NAVSUP Weapons Systems Support
  • NAVSUP Business Systems Center
  • NAVSUP Global Logistics Support
  • NAVSUP Exchange Service Command

NAVSUP and NCMS are teaming up on the Rhino Recovery Plan Integrated Business Planning Initiative, a cross-functional management process that will meet the needs of the maintenance and sustainment of an aging F-18 fleet. There are several plans to collaborate on future projects in multiple dimensions, including the development of an Additive Manufacturing Contracts Guide and Additive Manufacturing workshops.

Joint Chiefs of Staff –J4 lead the logistics enterprise, drive joint force readiness, and provide best logistics advice to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to maximize the Joint Force Commander’s freedom of action. While technically not a new partnership, the scope of NCMS’ projects with J4 is ever-evolving. NCMS has some exciting collaborations in process including:

  • Expeditionary Fluid Analysis Capability (EFAC)
  • Joint Intermittence Testing/No Fault Found Circuit Analysis
  • Optimizing the Performance of the H-60 Integrated Mechanical Diagnostic System and T-700 Engine Electrical System
  • Joint Maintenance Data Enterprise Interoperability
  • Agile 3D Scanner
  • Intelligent Management Analysis System (IMAS)
  • Laser-Based Additive Manufacturing

Letterkenny Army Depot (LEAD) was constructed in the early 1940s to house ammunition, trucks, parts, and other supplies. It continues with its mission of developing and delivering materiel readiness for U.S. Air Defense Forces and those of its international partners and builds combat power for combined and joint route clearance operations worldwide.

Currently, NCMS is partnering with LEAD on two projects:

  • Modernizing Safety Enclosures for Hazardous Machinery
  • Voyager Intermittent Fault Detector (VIFD) and Intermittent Fault Detection & Isolation Test Program (IFDIS)

With each new partnership, NCMS has the opportunity to collaborate on critical, innovative technologies that assist with warfighter readiness.
