The $3 million Tech Startup Stabilization Fund, which will be administered by ID Ventures in Detroit is specifically geared toward supporting Michigan-based tech startups that have been negatively impacted by COVID-19. PlanetM Pilot Grant funds Mobility COVID Solutions

PlanetM also transitioned its PlanetM Pilot Grant funds to the COVID-19 Mobility Solutions Grant this week, which will help provide funding for mobility solutions that address the crucial challenges presented by the spread of COVID-19 throughout Michigan. Applications for the grant are open until midnight on April 24.

 

MIT Solve 2020 Challenge: Health Security & Pandemics

MIT Solve, an initiative of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a mission to solve world challenges, announced a prize pool of over $1.5 million for its next class of Solver teams. In the last three years, Solve has brokered impactful partnerships providing over $20 million in funding commitments for Solver teams and entrepreneurs, in addition to in-kind support.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Solve has launched an additional 2020 Challenge: Health Security & Pandemics. Submit your solution to access over $1.5M in funding.

Oakland County Saving Businesses Saving Lives Programs

If you are an Oakland County company and can manufacturer personal protection equipment (PPE), consider applying for the Oakland County Saving Businesses Saving Lives program.  There are a total of $700,000 funds available for Oakland County Businesses to retool and manufacture PPE.

  • Business must demonstrate the ability to execute the project during the Covid-19 pandemic.
  • Eligible use of funds:
    • Procuring necessary equipment to manufacture supplies,
    • Logistics and shipping,
    • Technology upgrades, and
    • Other costs related to operationalizing new product lines.

The intention of this grant is to get needed PPE equipment to first responders as quickly as possible.
To that end, the grants will be reviewed and awarded as they are received.
The application due date is April 23, 2020 at 5 p.m.
