Sources Sought: Robust Wireless Technology Needed by NCMS Aviation Industry Partner
NCMS is assisting an aviation industry partner to seek and evaluate technologies that can gather telemetry engine data via a wireless system to communicate between engine sensors and airframe.
The system should be able to withstand:
- The “under engine cowl” environment during normal operation of commercial aircraft
- Temperature range outer limits estimated to be -30 – 350 degrees F, (-34 – 176 degrees C)
- Vibration and barometric pressure not considered to be extreme in this case, but are also important
