Project Announcement: Sustainment Governance Facilitation

The US Navy is partnering with industry and academia on an initiative to redefine the DoN’s sustainment governance model. This effort will utilize DASN sustainment as a surrogate to demonstrate:

• Expert facilitation to rapidly assess the current state, identify deficiencies, and develop targeted recommendations to redefine sustainment governance
• Assess governance structure elements (to include people, process, and technology)
• Clearly define sustainment roles and responsibilities across the enterprise
• Provide tools, templates, best practices from government and commercial enterprises
• Capture and refine tangible, measurable, and durable recommendations for improvements to sustainment governance
• Reduce overall sustainment costs through identification and redesign of duplicative functions
• Optimize performance of the multitude of complex interdependent sustainment activities across the DoN
