The project will develop battery manufacturing technology without N-methyl pyrrolidone (NMP) in electrodes, and incorporate these electrodes into 6T modules. NMP-free electrode batteries must meet or exceed baseline battery performance as defined in 6T Li-ion Battery Specification MIL-PRF 32565, at 15% reduced cell cost. Prototype cells produced at a battery production line with the NMP-free technology shall be delivered to TARDEC for testing and evaluation.
Those interested in participating in this project should contact Lisa Stobierski,November 15, 2017. We encourage participation of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs), including Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) and Women’s Business Enterprises (WBEs).
