Project Announcement: Methodology to Develop a Long-Term Sustainment Strategy for Aging Systems – Phase III

The U.S. Airborne Strategic Command, Control and Communications Program Office is partnering with industry and academia on a multi-phase CTMA initiative to demonstrate that an agile product support implementation strategy is technically feasible for their aging low density/high demand aircraft utilized for specialized missions. The overall goal is to perform an independent study of the implementation strategy, to provide leaders with data-driven studies that enable better decision making, and to perform risk analyses that result in a robust recommendation for long-term sustainment. Phase III of this effort will focus on the strategic activities required to implement the initiatives identified in Phase II, by refining the approach to provide a long-term sustainment strategy for legacy equipment.
