The U.S. Army is partnering with industry and academia on a multi-phased initiative to demonstrate an easy-to-use, robust water filtration system. In Phase II, the thermoplastic filtration membrane performance will be characterized for the treatment of gray water. This phase will optimize filter design and operational protocols for gray water applications. The final prototype filtration element design will be delivered to the Army’s Ground Vehicle Systems Center for performance evaluation.
