Project Announcement: Long-Term Sustainment of Aging Aircraft Systems Phase II

The U.S. Navy is partnering with industry and academia to develop a streamlined long-term sustainment strategy extending the life of aging aircraft and critical systems to maintain the viability of the E-6B aircraft through 2060. The objective is to demonstrate a methodology that can quickly perform an Independent Logistics Assessment on the critical systems, informing a technically feasible product support strategy resulting in a Service Life Assessment Program/Service Life Extension Program. Leaders will receive decision-making insight for the critical systems. Phase II will incorporate specific Original Equipment Manufacturers processes and analyses into the developed methodology.
