The U.S. Navy is partnering with industry and academia to demonstrate condenser cleaning systems with automatic feeding and positioning systems that meet the space and interference requirements of shipboard work for both commercial and naval vessels. Phase II will refine solutions identified during Phase I and apply lessons towards equipment for an additional set of condensers on aircraft carriers, proving repeatability and applicability across a range of equipment. It is anticipated that these technologies can also be applied to other condensers with similar constraints.
