Project Announcement: Commonality of Hybrid Part Structures to Improve Sustainability

The U.S. Army is partnering with industry and academia on an initiative to research and design a hybrid armor skirt to all five variant Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle platforms, ensuring the fleets future to enhance mobility, maneuverability, lethality, and operational safety. The overarching goal is to develop and demonstrate a process using interchangeable hybrid part structures for armored vehicles to facilitate commonality of parts between variants and tailorability of protection packages.
