Project Announcement: Chemical Agent Resistant Coating (CARC) Process Enhancements for Maintenance and Sustainment

The U.S. Army is partnering with industry and academia to investigate substrate effect on corrosion resistance as part of the chemical agent resistant coating system on Army ground vehicle systems. This provides the opportunity to update CARC topcoat formulations to make them compatible with other coating layers across multiple substrates. The work will enhance processes for application, removal, and maintenance-related activities for the selected coating system. It will allow technology advances from this initiative to be transitioned back into the industrial segment.
