The U.S. Navy is partnering with industry and academia to reduce carbon deposits in fuel systems known as coking. These deposits are typically inherent on aircraft fuel nozzles. The initiative will evaluate anti-coking coatings on sample material coupons and engine hardware to demonstrate improved coking resistance.
