Project Announcement: Additively Manufactured High Temperature Friction Stir Tooling through Thermal Spray Techniques

The U.S. Army is partnering with industry and academia to advance the solid-state joining techniques for the U.S. commercial industry by providing a streamlined process and a common approach to new tools to advancing the Friction Stir Tooling material joining processes which are more resistant to heat and will decrease associated maintenance tooling costs.
