Nominate someone for NDIA’s Dr. Desmond G. Newman Award for Supply Chain Excellence

Honor someone who has contributed invaluably to supply chain management with a nomination for the
Dr. Desmond G. Newman Award for Supply Chain Excellence.

NDIA’s Manufacturing Division is now accepting names for this annual prize. Send in submissions by Friday, Sept. 1. The award will be given at the Defense Manufacturing Conference in December.

The Newman Award recognizes an industry individual’s noteworthy contributions or meritorious service in supply chain management and its implementation in the defense manufacturing base.

The criteria for the Newman Award:
• The award honors an individual from the private sector – no group or organization awards.
• Recognition may be for a single action or for lifetime achievement.
• Actions must have positive, lasting impact.
• Actions must be related to supply chain management in support of the defense and national security industrial base (i.e. supporting the departments of Defense or Homeland Security).

Anyone may propose a candidate. Their actions must be verifiable.
