Project Announcement: Wireless Communications for Improved Operations and Maintenance – Phase IV

The U.S. Army is working with industry and academia to assess the capabilities, lifecycle costs, integration burdens, security, and maintenance implications of seven (7) commercially-available wireless communication systems.  Phase IV will demonstrate how the commercial market, working with the government, can bring new solutions for secured communication concepts and capabilities to the government that create value, lower cost and increase mission success, while securing voice communications to ensure vulnerabilities are not exposed.  Specifically, this phase will focus on obtaining NSA Type 1 Certification status.
