Project Announcement: High-build Polyurea

This project seeks to investigate and demonstrate high build polyurea (or alternative high-ware coatings) suitable for Army bridging systems.  The prototype CARC system will be used to comparatively test chip and wear resistant against incumbent technologies. The coating system will be evaluated for corrosion resistance, adhesion, durability, film thickness, and chip/wear resistance. The project team will demonstrate equipment and application of the coating system at one or more Army depots and installations. MIL-DTL-53072 CARC specification for situational use shall be updated to include the new coating system using data from this project.

Those interested in participating in this project should contact Lisa Stobierski by November 15, 2017.  We encourage participation of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs), including Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) and Women’s Business Enterprises (WBEs).
