Project Announcement: Clean Mobile Energy Storage System to Reduce Maintenance

The U.S. Navy is partnering with industry and academia to create a Mobile Energy Storage System (MESS) that combines power generation with energy storage all in a package that can be easily and safely transported to a remote area. This CTMA initiative will evaluate the use of lithium 6T batteries in a mobile system that is agile, modular, and low maintenance for the Marine Corps’ Expeditionary Advanced Base Operations.
