Business Improvement Process for Maintenance & Sustainment

The Air Force leaders have recognized the need for comprehensive, transparent, accurate, and timely financial information in support of program budget and resource allocation decisions. One of the main concerns is the need to improve strategic management of Air Force programs, compliance reporting, and performance assessments of budgetary processes. Based on detailed market research, including an Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) and Preferred Solution Analysis (PSA), the Air Force has narrowed its materiel solution choices to two COTS platforms believed to require minimal development to meet functional requirements. The preferred Course of Action (COA) is perceived to substantially change the way in which the general public and DoD Financial Management community will meet its needs.

This project will provide hands-on training and understanding of the benefit analysis of the preferred COA through integrated review of process models, business use cases, capabilities, and scenarios will provide both the general public and DoD deployment options necessary to support their organizations.  It should characterize risks, validate benefits, and substantiate lifecycle cost estimates.

Those interested in participating in this initiative should contact Dana Ellis, within 90 days of this project announcement. We encourage participation of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs), including Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) and Women’s Business Enterprises (WBEs).
