F-35 Joint Program Office Research, Technology, Analysis and Integration Strategy

Problem: The F-35 is a critical component of the United States’ and cooperative Partner Nations’ national defense strategy to ensure public safety for the citizens of all participating countries. Of critical importance is the lifecycle cost of the aircraft and keeping that cost manageable for the operators and maintainers of this international fleet of aircraft. Of equal importance is the ability to upgrade and improve the aircraft capabilities and associated maintenance practices to maintain the advantage that the F-35 brings to the participating nations’ defense.
Benefit: By having a system in place to address these maintenance and sustainment scenarios before they occur, a company will not experience debilitating equipment down time, failures that can cause injury or death, avoid the high costs of scrambling to find suppliers and those who have the skills to repair complex equipment, and the loss of trust from their customers.
Solution/Approach: The Technology, Analysis and Integration Strategy concept will establish leadership-level, impactful, and actionable strategic analysis and planning recommendations that drive enhanced capability and logistics support, modernizes lifecycle management and improves the PEO’s ability to develop, deliver, maintain and sustain the next generation strike fighter weapon system to meet advanced threats. It will enable work with Program internal and external stakeholders to implement revolutionary business and acquisition processes across production, sustainment, development, and management domains.
