Leveraging Data Analytics to Support Maintenance and Sustainment Activities – Phase II

Problem: A number of opportunities exist to revolutionize sustainment for the large, complex global organizations dealing with Big Data Analytics challenges.  The current sustainment system functions, but it still requires tremendous manual effort to achieve only marginally effective results.  The operating environment is plagued with disconnected support sites, aging infrastructure, outdated supporting systems/technologies and no global visibility.

Benefit: This business model will have significant cost savings on maintenance and sustainment, increase operational readiness, and generate lessons learned to assist other Services and potentially the commercial industry on the process.

Solution/Approach: The overall objective of the Phase II is to further integrate the vast array of datasets available to Operations and Maintenance personnel to enhance decision-making at all levels.  By expanding the demonstrations and continuing to integrate this information into single-source systems, leadership at all levels will have the ability to collaborate more effectively to meet operational requirements.
