Development of C2RAM-Next; Transforming Resource Allocation Management

NCMS Project #: 140927

Problem: Current justification to attend and participate in training exercises either within the service, the Department of the Navy, Joint, or with Coalition partners requires making absolutely certain that resources deployed are aligned to meet training and readiness goals of individual Marines and their organizations.  The alignment and tracking of these metrics is disparate, paper based, and doesn’t successfully track training and readiness goals.

Benefit: When companies can understand both the benefits of skills training and align them with their budget, then they can realize the benefits, while knowing that costs are being prioritized.  Companies that invest properly in skills have more productive employees, which may result in reduced costs of goods and services ultimately benefiting the consumer with lower prices.

Solution/Approach: Identifying and requesting adequate logistics, maintenance and sustainment resources to support training requirements and operational responsibilities is a problem commercial industry and DoD have struggled with for years. The Cost to Run a Marine Expeditionary Force-Next (C2RAM-Next) cost resource analysis support tool will create a credible, repeatable, and sustainable approach that enables commercial and DoD organizations to effectively, allocate fiscal resources against training, logistics and maintenance plans.
