JROBOT Summit III: Leveraging Robotic Capabilities to Enhance Warfighter Readiness

The National Center for Manufacturing Sciences was proud to have been an integral part of the Joint Robotics Organization for Building Organic Technologies (JROBOT) Summit III that took place via a virtual forum. Thank you to the over 100 government attendees for their participation and contributions to the successful JROBOT Summit III. From keynotes to plenaries to break-out sessions, the knowledge shared and content harvested were tremendous. The goal was to move the understanding and applications of industrial robots in our sustainment environment forward and we achieved mission success. Please plan to join us at JROBOT IV in 2021 where we will continue our efforts together.

Thank you to the JROBOT team and our collaboration partners: the Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing (ARM) Institute, the NavalX Tech Bridges.

A special thanks to keynote speakers Dr. Mr. Steve Morani, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, Materiel Readiness, and Mr. Robert Gold, Director, Technology and Manufacturing Industrial Base, Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering.

“NCMS performed superbly for the most recent JROBOT summit that converged industry, academia, and the federal government to discuss how best to use robotics to improve sustainment.  The professionalism, attention to detail, tireless efforts, and customer service were instrumental in making this event a resounding success for all participants.  Senior leaders from across the DOD were impressed not only with the outputs from this short effort but the interactive nature that NCMS pioneered to ensure all inputs were considered.  Absolutely a tremendous job by the NCMS team!!!”–  Steve McKee, Naval Enterprise Sustainment Technology Team Lead and JROBOT co-lead.
