The Joint Composite & Advanced Materials Sustainment (JCAMS) Annual Meeting – formerly known as the DOD Advanced Composite Maintainers TIM – is an annual event for government and military officials, industry leaders, manufacturers, engineers, and other technical experts focusing on the manufacturing, tooling, deployment, and repair of advanced composite materials in a defense setting. The 2020 JCAMS Annual Meeting will be held virtually from August 12 to 13.

While we will miss the face-to-face interactions that an in-person event allows, we’re happy to have the opportunity to continue the same great exchange of ideas and information. The virtual presentation will allow for increased participation from maintainers who may not have had the ability to attend this event. We encourage you to extend an invitation to your colleagues and working partners so all can contribute to and be informed by this event.

For those interested in providing a relevant presentation at the event, please complete the form on the “Speaking Opportunity” tab. Anyone is permitted to apply (DOD, Industry, Academia, Non-profits, etc.) but we ask that presentations be non-commercial in nature (i.e. they should be academic or informative, not a sales pitch for products and services). NCMS will notify all submitters if their topic has been approved for the event by no later than July 17th.

Be a Presenter at the 2020 Virtual JCAMS Annual Meeting

NCMS is accepting submissions for speakers highlighting new technologies at the 2020 Virtual Joint Composite & Advanced Materials Sustainment (JCAMS) Annual Meeting. Presenting at the JCAMS Annual Meeting is an exceptional opportunity to tout your organization’s achievements, current projects, and specialized expertise to a broad cross-section of industry and the defense maintenance community.

Subject matter should be related to composite materials and maintenance. A list of suggested topics is provided below, but this list is not exhaustive and presenters of other composite and advanced materials related topics are welcome to submit. Submission is open to all interested individuals and organizations, be they governmental, commercial, academic, or nonprofit. Please keep submissions non-commercial in nature, focusing on technical information and not your organization’s services or products.  If accepted, allotted speaking time would be 20 – 30 minutes.

  • Innovations in composite repair technology
  • Updates on current DOD composite related projects
  • Composite repair training
  • Fleet/Field repair and sustainment issues
  • Composite repair materials and equipment
  • Composite inspection equipment
  • Composite material battle damage
  • Sustainment lessons learned
  • Additive tooling for composite repair

All topics must be submitted by July 12, 2020.  Accepted submitters will be notified ASAP with all final presentations due July 27, 2020.

The submission period for speaking opportunities has closed.
