Emerging Project Exploration: Aircraft Lightening Strikes

As part of an emerging project exploration, an NCMS partner is seeking images of planes that have been damaged because of lightning strikes to the aircraft.  After a strike, many times there is visible exterior damage – a superficial entry or exit wound – or minor injury to the plane’s electrical systems, but a strike typically leaves little or no evidence.  However, if photographs have been taken of the strike site, even with no visible damage, these images would also be welcome.  Any additional details including the type of plane, date/time of strike and extent of damage would be welcome.
