Many people think that additive manufacturing/3D printing is a relatively new technology and are shocked to learn that the first commercial 3D printer (stereolithography) was released to the market in 1988. Applied Rapid Technologies has been providing stereolithography services since 1996. We have equipment capable of building parts up to 600mm x 600mm x 450mm, in production grade materials. Our ability to print master patterns for use in silicone molding provides a very attractive alternative to injection molding when a high volume of parts is not required. We specialize in 1-10 prototypes and 10-100 production parts with the capability and capacity, to make hundreds of parts per year.
