Composite Maintainers Technical Interchange Meeting

Composite Maintainers Technical Interchange Meeting (TIM)

14 – 16 June, 2016
Drexler Manor Conference Center
JEB Little Creek
Norfolk, VA 23521-2230

Overview

The 2016 Composite Maintainers Technical Interchange Meeting (TIM) brings together maintainers, suppliers, engineers, and experts in the area of composites maintenance from multiple branches of the U.S. Government and industry. The TIM is designed both to showcase the breadth and depth of the government’s activities in composites maintenance, and to provide a forum for collecting, documenting, displaying and discussing the current state of this specialized field.

This year’s TIM is being hosted by the National Center for Manufacturing Sciences (NCMS) and will take place at the Drexler Manor Conference Center, JEB Little Creek, Norfolk, VA 23521-2230. Registration is open to U.S. citizens from U.S. Government Military and Civilian Service, industry and academia.

Some sessions may be limited to U.S. Military and Civilian employees. If the material to be presented and discussed at the TIM contains information covered under the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulation (EAR), please notify the POC for the Navy, Army, or Air Force specified under the contact heading below. Special closed sessions will be held for these presentations. Contractors who wish to attend the closed sessions will be handled on a case-by-case basis and need to contact an event POC found below for further details. Also, all non-government employees must ensure that their employer is preregistered with the Defense Logistics Service Center (DD Form 2345, Military Critical Technical Data Agreement).

Moderated Feedback Session to Develop Joint Service Priorities Specific to Composite Repair – All

HELP US HELP YOU!  A new moderated feedback session is being introduced at this year’s TIM to capture your ideas and concerns relating to the maintenance and repair of composite materials.   With your help, topics that are common across the services – such as training, repair standardization, tools/equipment and technical data – will be identified and prioritized for action in a formal list that will give the composites maintenance community a single voice across all services relative to prioritization of S&T funding, research efforts, DoD attention/support, etc.  Please consider these topics in advance and come prepared to share your ideas!  For this session, maintainers are especially encouraged to come prepared to share your experience and challenges.
