Project Announcement: Resource Allocation Management

U.S. Marine Corps Forces Command (MARFORCOM) directs Active Component operating forces; executes Marine Corps force generation actions in the provisioning of joint capable Marine Corps forces, and directs deployment planning and execution in support of Combatant Commander (CCDR) and Service requirements.  Headquarters Marine Corps – Command, Control, Communication, and Computers (HQMC C4) supports the Service in Joint, Department of Defense, and Department of the Navy C4 and IT matters. The Department has service staff responsibility for the Marine Corps enterprise-wide IT and has responsibility for governance, resourcing, capital planning and investment control, portfolio management, workforce, and enterprise architecture. The Department also develops and implements the synchronized strategy for the Marine Corps Information Environment.

MARFORCOM and HQMC C4 has interest in a project to demonstrate the ability to centralize and link training and readiness data with financial information that will help commercial and government agencies to:

  • Maximize training and readiness alignment to operational goals and tasks
  • Improve readiness and cost savings
  • Optimize maintenance actions / improve maintenance avoidance opportunities
