Michigan Celebrates National Robotics Week

Michigan Robotics Day was recently held at NCMS Headquarters in Ann Arbor to coincide with National Robotics Week. NCMS partnered with The Michigan Defense Center (MEDC) and Soar Technologies to celebrate robotics in the State of Michigan. Industry leaders addressed a capacity crowd while NCMS was overrun by robots and enthusiastic students. The Keynote Speaker was Dr. Jim Overholt, Chief Scientist for Robotics, U.S. Army. NCMS Judges Environmental Innovation Challenge

NCMS Senior Program Managers Michael Fancher and Doyle Maleche joined a team of prestigious judges participating in the University of Washington Environmental Innovation Challenge. University of Washington (UW) students are creating next-generation clean technology solutions for everyday living. Seventeen student teams from around the state pitched and demonstrated their innovations at the UW Environmental Innovation Challenge addressing today’s energy problems with novel solutions. Robotics Technology Consortium Appoints New Board Member

The National Center for Manufacturing Sciences (NCMS) has announced that Dr. Henrik Christensen has joined the Robotics Technology Consortium (RTC) Board of Directors.
