and Repair Needs requiring new
technology solutions and showcased
innovative commercial technologies.

Week

Michigan Robotics Day was
recently held at NCMS Headquarters in Ann Arbor to
coincide with National Robotics
Week. NCMS partnered with The
Michigan Defense Center (MEDC)
and Soar Technologies to
celebrate robotics in the State
of Michigan. Industry leaders
addressed a capacity crowd while NCMS was overrun by robots and
enthusiastic students. The
Keynote Speaker was
Dr. Jim Overholt, Chief
Scientist for Robotics, U.S. Army.

Robotics Technology Consortium Appoints
New Board Member
The National Center for Manufacturing
Sciences (NCMS) has announced that Dr.
Henrik Christensen has joined the
Robotics Technology Consortium (RTC)
Board of Directors. The RTC is a
non-profit industry organization managed
by NCMS to speed the creation and
deployment of ground robotics
technology.
