Sustainable Manufacturing Strategic Interest Group Meeting
March 5- Joplin, Missouri

The Sustainable Manufacturing SIG will meet on March 5th at the General Dynamics – Ordnance and Tactical Systems Munition Services facility located in Joplin, MO.
This event is free for NCMS members.

The GD-OTS MS facility is the largest commercial disposer of explosive materials and devices in the U.S. It has been providing explosive waste disposal services for the defense and commercial explosives industries, and automotive industry,  among many others since 1995.

Don't miss this unique opportunity to see an end-of-life processing facility that deals with many challenging and potentially dangerous manufactured products.

Meeting Highlights:

  • See how General Dynamics recycles over 97% of materials from decommissioned munitions. 

  • Learn about the Sustainability Consortium (TSC), the non-for-profit organization formed and originally funded by Walmart, whose members now include many of the world’s largest consumer packaged goods companies.
