Background: Current maintenance, diagnostic and logistics processes are hampered by a lack of common digital information and tools that can be effectively deployed across the maintenance enterprise.
Proposed Solution: This project objective is to research, analyze, and develop a software package that can be demonstrated/implemented in an environment that will have common methodology for securely collecting, analyzing, and sharing of digital information across maintenance and logistics enterprises, and that utilizes the S1000D international specification for procurement and production of technical publications. The end goal will be increased efficiencies of weapons maintenance processes and ultimately the quality of weapons delivered to the Fleet. Establishment of metrics will be required and at a minimum address before/anticipated improvements/actual observed after demonstrate/implementation.
