The National Center for Manufacturing Sciences (NCMS) is non-profit organization based in Michigan with offices in Washington, DC, and Bremerton, WA. Formed in 1986 to rally the machine tool industry against foreign competition, NCMS is now the largest collaborative R&D consortium in North America and has over 150 members representing every major manufacturing sector.
NCMS pioneered the use collaboration to create to create innovative new technologies. Many organizations give lip service to collaboration, but NCMS has a proven track record in the creation and quick commercialization of new technology.
While all R&D has an element of risk, our unique collaborative model delivers superior results and has a higher success rate than traditional methods.
