Introduction
WORKSHOP LOCATION:
- The workshop will be held at the Kitsap Conference
Center at Bremerton Harbor Side, 100 Washington Ave. Harbor
Side Bremerton, WA 98337.
WORKSHOP FOCUS:
- Application of technology to improve the performance of
Navy ship depot maintenance and repair processes. The
primary Pacific Northwest maintenance activities include
Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance
Facility (PSNSY&IMF) and Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC)
Keyport. Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNSY), Norfolk Naval
Shipyard (NNSY), and Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard (PHNSY&IMF) are
also key stakeholders.
WORKSHOP PURPOSE:
- Communicate ship maintenance process improvement
opportunities / technology needs in order to identify
potential solutions and establish partnerships for
development of technology applications.
- Specific industry maintenance/repair processes,
procedures and/or equipment will be presented by the
appropriate artisans/process owners that may benefit from
new technology implementation (increase throughput and/or
decrease cost).
WORKSHOP GOAL:
- Develop appropriate projects with Navy Activities,
Industry Partners, and NCMS that will provide the
development and/or implementation of new technology
solutions with measurable results (METRICS) under the CTMA
Program.
